In line with the annual celebration of Penafrancia festival and in aim of enjoining all TESDA-Technology institutions and Public and Private Technical Vocational Institutions, the 5th Bicol Travel and Food Exposition (BITFEX) concluded with eight (8) participating schools held at SM City Naga last September 16, 2016.

Eight (8) participating schools competed in four (4) categories including Restaurant Service (table skirting, napkin folding and flower arrangement/center piece), Bread and Pastry Production (cake decorating), Flairtending competition and lastly, Cooking emphasizing “Namit Bikolnon (Taste of Bicol)”,

TESDA-Bulusan joined and ranked second on Restaurant Servicing with its representative, Jarmaine Domagco and with her coach, Clarissa Javier.

​

In an interview Domagco, she stressed that the support and trust by her coach (Javier) and the administration had been of great help.

“Salamat TESDA madami po akong natutunan, dati di naman ako expert sa table skirting. Thankful po ako and lucky to ber part of TESDA. (Thank you TESDA I am learning a lot, Before I wasn’t an expert of table skirting. I’m thankful and lucky to be part of TESDA), Domagco said after winning the second price.

On the other hand, representative from CASIFMAS won the first and  other tech-voch school won third prize, respectively.

Other participating schools include CASIFMAS, La Consolacion Iriga, Mariners Legazpi, Mariners Naga, Apicius Naga, Apicius Legazpi, and Sorsogon National Agricultural School.
