BNVTS welcomes new students
TESDA-BNVTS conducted its Acquaintance Party for school year 2017-2018, and was held last Friday 14th of July at the school's commencement ground.
It was supposed to start at around 6 P.M but adjusted due to heavy rain falls, fortunately, the rain has stopped right before the program starts. Despite the overcast weather condition, the students were able to join the party. It has been anticipated and the theme of the event was ‘casual’, so the students were advised to wear the said attire.
The program started with the Philippine National Anthem and a prayer by SGO P.I.O, Richard D. Morales, Automotive student. It was followed by the opening remarks of Engr. Senen D. Aguilar, Instructor III/Supply Officer Designee/SGO Adviser.
“This event is where the students have the opportunity or to get to know each other, to develop sense of belonginess” he said.
The Induction of the Student Government Officers was also held at the event with Ms. Clarissa F. Javier, Assistant Professor IV/Guidance Coordinator, as Inducting Officer. And the distribution of certificate/awards to the SGO given by Ms. Gina F. Aguilar, Assistant Professor III/Placement Focal, and Engr. Senen D. Aguilar.
Then song numbers were amazingly performed by Agriculture, Dressmaking, Food Processing, HRKSP, and EIM students. There was also a dance number exhibited by Automotive students.
The SGO President, Mr. Bernard Polo of EIM, also gave an inspiring message to everyone.
“Honestly speaking, this is my very first time to handle a major organization. And upon accepting this position it is both a privilege and a big responsibilities. I will give all my best to serve you” he said.
Afterwards, Mr. Jasper G. Marcos, SGO Vice-President, gave the closing remarks. “A gathering like this is very timely for at least we can move out from our tedious task of being a student. It’s a pleasure to be here standing right in front of you with amazing smiles and get ups. So fellow students, let us all enjoy the night” he said.
It was hosted by Ms. Charlene Farenas, Dressmaking and SGO Senator, and Mr. Jasper G. Marcos, EIM.
The program ended at around 9:00 P.M, then the operator turn the music on that led to students to enjoy the dance floor until 12 in the evening.
